A Christmas Parade Of Boats Will Light Up Boothbay Harbor Dec 4th - b985.fm

According to an event page made by the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce ^[1], they are hosting a Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, December 4th. The event gets kicked off with the Parade starting at 6:45, and a fireworks display will follow.

Want to enter the lighted boast parade instead of being a spectator? The good news is that is a possibility; all you'll need to do is contact the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce at (207) 633-2353.

Prizes will be awarded to the three best-lit boats. 1st place will be awarded $300, 2nd place will get $200, and 3rd will receive $100: a bonus will also award each participant a $50 cash prize.

The Parade route is expected to start with boast entering the harbor from the west; they will then travel clockwise around the inner harbor and over to the east side. The best-recommended viewing locations for the Parade are Whale Park, Fisherman's Memorial, and the Foot Bridge.

Of course, if you attend this event make sure you bundle up in hats, mittens, boots, and warm winter gear for the chilly frigid weather that coastal Maine brings this time of year!
