Yes indeed, you read that headline correctly. Art, in the form of Sturgeon (yes, the fish) will be headed for the capital city's downtown district.

According to the Kennebec Journal[1], a grant from T-Mobile to the Augusta Downtown Alliance is helping to fund this fishy project.

We're all so used to seeing these massive creatures leaping out of the waters of the Kennebec in the summertime as they attempt to attract a mate. That is what they're doing, right?

Yes, Sturgeon have been a longtime staple of our area for many many years. And now those fish that are so used to being in the water will be coming up onto dry land in downtown, Augusta.
