The officials are conducting the recruitment process to fill out the 93 vacant posts. The officials released the notification bout the recruitment on 12th January 2023 only. The notification includes every detail that the aspirants might want to see before applying for the post. TNPSC AO Recruitment Eligibility Conditions
Before applying for the post, aspirants must check whether they are eligible for the post or not. No applicant will be selected if they are not fulfilling the conditions mentioned by the authority. We are providing the eligibility condition for the above-mentioned posts below:
- Age Limit:
- Agricultural and Horticultural Officer: Aspirants who hold a bachelor’s degree should not be more than 32 years old. Candidates holding a master’s degree should be more than 34 years old.
- Assistant Director of Agriculture: The maximum age of the aspirants should not be more than 34 years old.
(There is no maximum age limit for the aspirants belonging to the SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM), BCM and widows)
- Educational Qualification:
- Agricultural Officer: Aspirants must be a graduate of the Agriculture field from a recognized board and must have the knowledge of Tamil language.
- Assistant Director of Agriculture: Applicants must have a postgraduation degree in Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics. Preference will be given to candidates with an Agricultural Extension degree.
- Horticultural Officer: Aspirants must have a degree in B.SC Horticulture from a well-known university.

tnpsc.gov.in Agricultural Officer Recruitment Fee
Aspirants will also be asked to submit the application fee while filling out the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Officer Online Form. Applicants who are going to apply for TNPSC recruitment for the first time will first have to pay Rs. 150/- as the registration fee and the examination fee is Rs. 200/-. Applicants belonging to the SC/ ST/ PWD/Destitute Window are exempted from paying the examination fee. Candidates belonging to the MBC/ BC/ Ex-Servicement will be given three free chances.
How to apply online for TNPSC Agricultural Officer Recruitment?

- Fill out the application form and upload the required documents correctly.
- Finally, you will have to pay the examination fee and submit the application form.
- It is advisable to take a hard copy of the application form and fee receipt for future use.
Tamil Nadu Agricultural Officer Selection Process
After the completion of the application procedure, aspirants will have to appear for the Computer Based Test. The examination is going to take place on 20 and 21 May 2023. After the exam, the officials are going to conduct the oral test or interview. The authority will release the final result based on the marks scored by the candidate in both examinations. After that, the final result will be released on the official portal of TNPSC. The result can be accessed through login.
